In the lead-up to International Women’s Day, INTERPOL organized the Leadership for Women in Law Enforcement Seminar in Singapore.
With a disproportionately low number of women reaching senior leadership ranks in law enforcement, especially in Southeast Asia, the seminar tackled this issue head-on. Senior policewomen, serving as mentors, shared personal experiences and best practices to advocate for gender parity in law enforcement.
Instructors from U.S. Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) facilitated the training, empowering female law enforcement officers from across ASEAN with the tools to fight gender stereotypes, balance work and family life, and reach leadership positions.
