This talk was presented by Dr. Cynthia Kubu for the October 2019 Taquitos de Sesos session. Dr. Kubu examines the impact of gender role expectations in leadership within academic medicine. Additionally, she delineates various leadership styles and identifies foundational steps in the development of effective leadership skills. Taquitos de Sesos is an international, on-line didactics series that examines the intersection of Neuropsychology/Psychology and other fields – spanning law and sociology to public health and technology – in an effort to provide comprehensive care to patients and create systemic improvements within health administration.
