Mahila Udyam Nidhi Scheme is a scheme for business loan for Women Entrepreneurs, started initially by PNB. Due to its huge success, it was later adopted by the SIDBI. Now it’s applicable in all Banks. But the scheme and it’s interest rates are entirely regulated by SIDBI. In this scheme, a loan of 10 lakhs is provided. The project cost to be a little more than 10 lakhs, wherein 25% is the margin money that you provide and the remaining 75% is provided by bank. Deducting the margin money, you get a loan of 10 lakhs. Interest rates and service charges vary from bank to bank.
Eligibility criteria for this scheme are :
– MSME registration
– More than 51% ownership
– It’s a collateral free Scheme with a loan period of 10 years and only KYC details are required.
The best feature is that for the initial 5 years, there’s no EMI.
