Being a businesswoman running businesses is one of the most challenging and exciting journeys. In this video, I share with you what a typical day in my life as a CEO looks like.

This video was created to promote entrepreneurship, especially among women, to empower you to chase your dreams.

I start each day with a firm belief that every new day is a new beginning brining new opportunities. I truly believe that the mindset you start your day with sets the tone for the rest of the day.

Before anything else, I sit down to organise my day for 15 minutes. This helps me set my priorities and goals, clear distractions and focus on the things that matter the most. It’s also a good reflection time on my decisions and actions. As a CEO, one of the most significant realisations I’ve ever made is that time is a very limited resource, so I have to decide what’s worth my focus and what’s brining value to my business and to me.

I read for 15 min while having my first coffee of the day. We never stop learning. The world changes and evolves, and so should we. Afterwards, I get a quick look at the stock market and at my investments.

Then, I close my first hour of the day with a 30-min running routine.

Once back home, I shower and I take enough time to make a balanced breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and as a CEO, I want to have good energy in the morning.

Then, I get ready. I think that it’s important to look smart and classy in business.

I often start my working day between 9 and 10 a.m. My mornings are often spared for creative type of works where I build, design, draft, analyse and also review work, and sometimes I would have a couple of video conferences to discuss operations and business strategy.

In business, execution is key. You may have the best ideas in the world, but if you fail to execute them, those ideas lose their worth. And for me, execution requires: strategy and a great executive team, great business partners you can actually trust.

At noon, I often have external lunch meetings to meet with clients and partners. I often prefer to have my most important meetings in a lunch meeting, because for me, it’s not only about closing a deal, it’s about building a relationship.

Sometimes I like to spend an hour outside my office to have a coffee and review a few things that I normally have little time to review while I’m in the office, like my upcoming conferences and media coverage.

Back in the office, the afternoon would be split between conference calls, emails and meetings with my teams for reviews and approvals.

In the evening, I often have meetings with my partners to discuss our global business strategies. Today, I had to discuss an expansion proposal in the Middle East, for which I had a lunch meeting earlier in the day. My partners are one of the most important elements in my business journey. I owe them a large part of my success.

And my day is not over yet. After a good cup of tea, my nights are dedicated to research. I like to understand business concepts and trends, and I love connecting the dots. Innovation is an important piece of our business.

I am also a philanthropist and I run a charity organisation, (www.saveasmile.org), which I founded to help children from poor and marginalised families to have access to healthcare. The organisation runs fundraising campaigns to finance treatments for children with cancer.

And before I go to sleep, I set a relax routine to read books. Reading is one of the habits that I developed in the past years.
